Moscow Aviation Institute (State University of Aerospace Technology) (Russian: Московский авиационный институт) is one of several major engineering higher education establishments in Moscow. On 29.11.2012 from 14 till 15h30, the following Russian professors and researchers from Moscow Aviation Institute, State University of Aerospace Technologies, Russian will pay a visit to STARLab.

• Ir. Rushana Anamova (also from JSC Radiofizika, antennas designing company, Moscow)

• Prof. Sergey Borisov 

• Dr. Anton Ivanov 

• Ir. Viktoriia Mukhina (from Hochschule Heilbronn, Germany)

• Prof. Andrey Ripetskiy 

• Prof. Vilen Stepanov 

They were invited by Prof. Jan Cornelis and the VUB faculty of Applied Mechanics (Prof. Dean Vucinic) for an organized training that concerns the following research topics.

• 3D geometry data exchange

• Reverse engineering

• 3D laser scanning and verification

• Data quality evaluation

During their visit session at STARLab, they will learn how ontology engineering can be used to model data in an exchangeable format.
